Goldrush
Today I visited Goldrush, in Asbury Park, NJ. I found this coffee shop looking at places around me and saw that they have an amazing rating of 4.9/5 stars on google reviews. This coffee shop is located in the heart of Asbury Park, which is such a cute and fun area. From the research I did before going, they have a pretty small menu selection, including coffees, teas, and bakery items.
I ended up with a very different order than I usually get when I go to coffee shops, and actually didn’t even end up leaving this shop with a coffee. I got strawberry green tea with strawberry popping boba. This was a very spontaneous decision I made because I normally ever really go out and get any type of tea just because I am such a coffee lover. This tea was interesting to me and honestly a really fun drink, especially for summer. The tea itself tasted really good and was very refreshing, along with the popping bubbles which are always a fun addition to drinks. I’m not sure if I would get this drink again, maybe on occasion but I overall think it was a good tasting drink, and definitely a very fun one.
This shop was not very lively, we were the only people in there, and there wasn't a large option for seating as they had one table and a few barstools along the counter. The staff was so welcoming and friendly. The overall vibe in the shop was so cute! They had it decorated with lots of greenery and cute decorations which made it feel very welcoming, along with the friendly staff. I don’t think I would make this my everyday coffee shop as nothing on the menu really caught my eye or was something I would regularly order but, I’m really glad I decided to check this place out!
When looking at their menu online, and even the one they have displayed in the coffee shop they don’t have any of their food items listed. When I was there, I saw they had a selection of bagels, and cookies, along with some Egyptian style products. The cookies they had looked amazing and I wish I had gotten one after seeing them. The selection of food and bakery items that they had seemed to be pretty small but this doesn’t surprise me considering their drink menu was also pretty small.
Overall, I think this coffee shop could be a good one to check out if you are in the area. It was very cute inside and definitely a cute place to stop and grab something quick. I don’t think I would go back often for the drink I got just because it is not something I regularly get and see myself needing all the time but, it was definitely a fun drink to get and I’m really glad I tried it! I overall rate Goldrush a 6.5/10, and would consider going back to try more of their menu items!
